Roof Vent Replacement

There are several types of exhaust vents for your roof, and we normally see box vents, which are quite common due to their low cost. They normally should last from 10 - 20 years, but they can be subject to damage, rust, or poor installation, and may need replacement sooner.

A furnace vent on a roof is a vent pipe that is attached to the furnace and run vertically up through the roof. This allows hot combustion exhaust fumes to rise and exit through the roof on their own, in a natural manner.

Plumbing vent pipes supply fresh air to each plumbing fixture, in the house, which help the system move water through the drainage pipes each time a toilet is flushed, or a sink is drained. The plumbing vent help regulate the air pressure in your plumbing system.

Just as drainpipes remove water and waste from your home, the plumbing pipe (plumbing air vent) prevents sewer gasses from entering the home and allows wastewater gasses and odors to escape through the plumbing vent stack on the roof of your home.

We provide replacement of roof vents for attic circulation, furnace, bathroom, toilet, kitchen, and dryer vent.

Soffit Repairs

Soffit missing

Soffits are designed so your roof can breathe.   It typically features small holes which provide regular air circulation to your attic, thereby drawing moisture and heat away.  This is extremely vital as moisture in the attic can lead to rotting in the rafters.  If soffit panels have been damage or fallen off, they should be replaced immediately to avoid any further damage and prevent vermin, squirrels, or birds nesting in the area.   Please contact us as we provide soffit installation and repair services.

Leaky Skylight

Discovering that your skylight is leaking increases with age.  Rain can come through a crack in the glass itself, or more likely in around the edges of the skylight caused from warping of materials over time. Common causes of leaking skylights are built up of moss and debris around seals of the skylight, flashing that has become worn out, weather seals that have aged and peeled due to exposure to the weather elements.  We can inspect your skylights to determine cause of leak and provide repairs.

Dryer vent cleaning

Metal bird prevention installed on roof vent.

Cleaning your dryer vent regularly is essential for reducing the risk of house fires, which often happen due to lint buildup. Doing this regularly clears out any blockages, helping your dryer run better, lowering your energy bills, and making your appliance last longer. It also helps stop mold from forming and lowers the chances of carbon monoxide problems if you have a gas dryer.

Some key benefits of cleaning your dryer vent include:

Fire Prevention:

Improved Efficiency: A blocked vent makes your dryer work harder and take longer to dry clothes, but cleaning boosts its performance and saves energy.

Cost Savings: Keeping the vent clean can reduce utility costs and help you avoid expensive repairs or having to replace your dryer early.

Longer Appliance Life: With less strain on the motor and heating components, your dryer lasts longer.

Prevents Mold and Health Hazards: Good ventilation removes excess moisture, which stops mold and other potential health risks from developing.
